Award-winning Portuguese Restaurant in Hartford

Antonio Jose Moreira (aka Ze) emigrated to the United States in 2002 and settled in Hartford Ct. He was employed as a cook at Primavera Pub under Antonio Vicente (aka Vinny) ownership. Ze worked for Vinny, mastering his cooking and management skills, which led him to purchase the restaurant from Vinny, which was located at 271 Newington Ave, Hartford. Ze Had a dream of owning an authentic Portuguese restaurant and the location at the time would not fit his vision. So, he embarked on a mission to make his dream a reality and in June 2019, he purchased the veteran hall located at 283 Newington Ave, Hartford, allowing him to build his dream restaurant.

To date, Ze has won several awards for the best restaurant in Hartford, has been mentioned in the Hartford Courant several times, and Connecticut magazine, as well in the Portuguese newspaper Luso Americo.
